NCDCR Historic Sites Section - CSS Neuse Relocation Project

The scope of services provided during this project included the relocation of the CSS Neuse, a Civil War era iron clad ship, in order to protect it from further flood damage until a permanent museum location can be designed and constructed. Key engineering issues involved with this project included moving and preserving a delicate maritime artifact as well as design of the temporary shelter. Total project cost was $323,000.
